The Royal Medical Benevolent Fund relies heavily on voluntary donations, and we receive no government funding. Without your help we could not continue to provide vital support to the medical profession.
Your donation could help a family rebuild their lives after a loved one’s accident. It could help a doctor retrain after a long gap for cancer treatment. Or it could help a talented young medical student facing hardship to get through their final year and pass their exams.
The RMBF has over 250 volunteers around the country. They provide vital support to our beneficiaries and help to promote our work throughout the medical profession. We always welcome new volunteers and our different volunteer roles are very flexible. RMBF volunteering is a rewarding way to further your professional development and help support your fellow professionals.
Our supporters have taken on some amazing challenges to raise funds for the RMBF, including gruelling marathon runs and a spectacular tandem ride. We are very grateful for these efforts and always endeavour to support and celebrate our fundraisers however we can.
Spread the word
One of our most important goals as a charity is making sure that every doctor in the UK knows that we are here to support them in times of crisis. If you have family, friends or colleagues in the medical profession or at medical school, please let them know about the RMBF – we can support you with free awareness-raising materials.
