Arif’s life as a doctor changed when in 2009 he suffered a severe stroke. He was left with limited mobility and impaired speech, needing constant care as a result.
Without being able to work, and with his wife leaving her job and becoming his primary carer, Arif was finding it hard to make ends meet.
After contacting the RMBF, Arif was given help through regular grants and the RMBF provided funding for special equipment that is helping Arif’s with his recovery. Part of this funding is also going towards statutory care from professional organisations.
