Welcome to our new Chief Executive
We would like to welcome Steve Crone, who has joined the Royal Medical Benevolent Fund from the stop smoking charity, QUIT.
Steve is an experienced CEO with 30 years in the health and charity fields.
As CEO of QUIT, he developed a comprehensive range of services including telephone councelling, web and text services and specialist programmes for young people and minority ethnic communities.
As Chairman of the European Network of Quitlines, Steve has increased membership to 30 countries and received a World Health Organisation Award on behalf of the network, recognising the achievements of the network building capacity across Europe.
Steve has also worked for the College of Health, Asthma UK, and Counsel and Care, where he was Head of the Casework Department and gained valuable experience in working with benevolent funds.
