Who's who at the RMBF

What makes the RMBF so effective is that the majority of our Board and our volunteers come from a medical background. This means that as an organisation we understand the unique pressures facing doctors on a day to day basis.

Chief Executive Officer:

The Board is advised by our Chief Executive Officer, who works closely with the Chairman and the Board to ensure the RMBF's continuing development.

Steve Crone is an experienced CEO with 30 years in the health and charity fields. He has worked for the stop smoking charity QUIT, the College of Health, Asthma UK, and Counsel and Care, where he was Head of the Casework Department and gained valuable experience in working with benevolent funds.

Our Staff:

Our staff arrange support for those in need including recent initiatives such as specialist Money and Careers Advice, run our websites Support4Doctors and Money4Medstudents, coordinate the work of our many local volunteer officers, organise national fundraising and ensure we meet Charity Commission requirements.

We are fortunate that so many members of the medical profession and their families voluntarily give their time to support our work - for instance by visiting those in need, by fundraising locally and by seeking to ensure that the help the Fund provides is known within the medical world.
